Journal of Systems and Organizations on Nationalism (JSON) is an interdisciplinary scientific journal that focuses on the development of technology, systems, and organizations to support national resilience and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Data and information security is a crucial aspect in today's digital era, where data exchange occurs rapidly and massively. Threats to data such as hacking, personal information leaks, and cyber attacks have become major issues that impact individuals, organizations, and governments. This study discusses various forms of data security threats, factors that cause security breaches, and technical and policy solutions that can be applied to protect sensitive information. The main focus is given to the importance of encryption, double authentication, and user education in maintaining information system security. With a literature and case study approach, the results of this study are expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and strategies in managing data security effectively in an increasingly complex digital environment.
