Manuscript Submission Guidelines

Journal of Systems and Organizations on Nationalism (JSON)

1. General Provisions

  • JSON only accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under review in other journals.

  • Manuscripts must align with the focus and scope of the journal and adhere to these writing guidelines.

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Research articles

  • Literature reviews

  • Case studies

  • Conceptual or theoretical papers

  • Innovative system or model development papers

3. Language of Writing

  • Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, using correct and proper grammar.

  • Use concise, clear, scientific, and objective language.

4. Writing Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

  • Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words (including abstract, tables, figures, and references)

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Spacing: 1.5

  • Margins:

    • Left: 3 cm

    • Right, Top, Bottom: 2.5 cm

  • Citation Style: APA Style, 7th Edition

Abstract:

  • Maximum 250 words

  • Written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

  • Must include: background, objective, method, main findings, and conclusion

5. Manuscript Structure

  • Title

  • Author’s name and affiliation

  • Abstract and Keywords

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review

  • Research Methodology

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion and Suggestions

  • Acknowledgements (if necessary)

  • References

6. Publication Ethics

  • Authors are responsible for the originality of their manuscripts and must avoid plagiarism.

  • JSON uses plagiarism detection software before the review process begins.

  • Any conflict of interest must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript.

7. Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers.

  • Review duration: 4–8 weeks after initial eligibility check.

8. Manuscript Submission

Submit your manuscript via the Open Journal System (OJS) or email to:

Include:

  • Statement of Manuscript Originality

  • Publication Agreement Form (if available)

9. Publication Fees

  • No submission fee is charged.

  • If there are publication fees, they will be clearly communicated before the article is published.

  • JSON supports an open access policy.

  • Authors are required to use the official JSON article template.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
